Resident Evil 7 brings an all new protagonist, Ethan Winters. You control Ethan in a first-person perspective. Ethan is not as battle-hardened as the protagonists featured in the previous parts of Resident Evil and, therefore, you will have to use your environment and your wits to outsmart the baddies (*cough cough* Outlast? Is that you?). No one knows what lurks around the corner at the Baker’s household.
Resident Evil 7 will have the player screaming like a little girl as they are chased throughout the various areas of the Baker Mansion. Vile creatures and the undead wait for you at every corner. It can be fairly said, Resident Evil 7 is not for the faint of heart. Do not play this game with the lights off. I repeat, DO NOT! And better have an extra pair of pajamas just in case.
You may have heard rumors about this but, yes, it’s true. Resident Evil 7 has made the switch to first-person. And the same perspective will be used throughout the game. Gone are the days of third-person or static cameras. Playing Resident Evil 7 in first-person is a refreshing feeling. It really immerses you in the game. The fear felt is unlike ever before in a Resident Evil game. Paired with VR, it is a thrilling journey that is sure to quench your thirst for horror.
